SoRi (Sophie Richard) is a French visual artist born in 1979 in the southeast of France. Her artistic journey began early; at the age of 13, she was entrusted with painting murals on her school's walls, marking her first experience with acrylics and inks. She pursued Applied Arts in Saint-Étienne and later studied fashion design in Lyon, where she developed a passion for working with materials.

Her work is deeply influenced by textile design and material exploration. She enjoys playing with contrasts such as smooth/textured, matte/shiny, flat/thick, and monochrome/patterned. SoRi often incorporates various materials like African Wax fabrics, gold leaf, cardboard, and marouflage into her pieces. Her preferred technique is stenciling, inspired by street art and influenced by contemporary artists like Miss Tic, C215, and Raf Urban.

SoRi organizes her artworks into "lines" or collections, akin to fashion collections, with series such as Africa, Women Artists, and Children and Teens' Corner. Her creations frequently highlight the female figure, offering both visual and symbolic interpretations. For instance, in her triptych dedicated to Frida Kahlo, she integrates graphic elements that narrate aspects of the Mexican artist's life.

She has exhibited her works in various galleries and events across France and internationally, including Paris, Lyon, London, Berlin, and Barcelona. SoRi also participates in street art festivals and has created murals, such as the one dedicated to Wangari Maathai in Paris's 13th arrondissement.
