Map of street art in Leeds (United Kingdom)

Leeds has a street art tradition stretching back to the late 1980s, with community murals such as Graeme Willson's 1990 Cornucopia fresco reflecting a long history of public painting in the city. The scene has evolved from a marginal practice into a recognized tool for urban revitalization, with public bodies and artist collectives now actively commissioning works.

The Calls and Call Lane, in the historic riverside quarter, host several landmark works. Mabgate, an area undergoing renewal, features large collaborative projects including a 2022 mural by Emma Hardaker, Bobbi Abbey, and Jameson Rogan. Little Neville Street is home to "Here We Go Now," a 20-meter-high composition completed in 2023.

Nomad Clan, Akse P19, and Mr Penfold are among the most prominent artists, known for large-scale works - including "Athena Rising," at 153 feet the tallest mural in the UK when completed in 2016. East Street Arts drives the scene through public commissions and initiatives such as "A City Less Grey." A self-guided street art trail covers over 35 murals in the city centre alone.
