The second town of Djerba, facing the hotel strips of the east coast, received Invader in November 2019 on the same trip that took him to Houmt Souk. Between the 13th and the 22nd he set 17 mosaics here, worth 720 points in the FlashInvaders game. Unusually for a campaign of that age, not one has been lost.
The pieces follow avenue Habib Bourguiba, avenue de l'Environnement and the L941 road linking the town to the beaches. That line traces how the place works: an old core with its weekly market on one side, a string of hotels and shops along the shore on the other, joined by a few roads that the mosaics punctuate.
The island owes its artistic reputation to the village of Erriadh, fifteen minutes away, transformed in 2014 by the Djerbahood project and its 250 murals. Midoun draws indirect traffic from it: many visitors stay on the coast and travel over for the day, which has encouraged painting to appear on café and shop walls in the town centre.
