Where to find street art in Lausanne (Switzerland)
Lausanne is a terraced Swiss city on the shores of Lake Geneva, seat of the International Olympic Committee and a vibrant university town. Its steep topography and many underpasses naturally fostered a diverse street art scene, primarily concentrated between the Flon esplanade and Avenue de Sévelin in the rapidly evolving industrial district.
ERADOM, the city's design school, regularly contributes fresh murals to the neighbourhood. The Murs à dessins foundation, created to promote street art in Lausanne, has commissioned ambitious works from recognised artists, including the monumental Titeuf mural by Zep at the Rôtillon. The eeZee collective and several local artists also animate the spaces beneath the Chauderon slab.
Over the years, Lausanne has successfully integrated street art into its urban fabric, transforming underpasses, warehouse façades and gable walls into open-air galleries that reflect the city's creativity and cultural diversity.
