San Javier is a Spanish municipality in the Murcia region, in the south-east of the Iberian peninsula, on the Mar Menor - Europe's largest lagoon - and near the regional airport. The town counts around thirty thousand inhabitants and includes the seaside district of Santiago de la Ribera, a popular coastal resort.

Its street art scene has grown around the Imagina San Javier festival, which each year invites Spanish and international muralists to transform walls and public squares. The Aire ground-mural by Murcia-based artist Sbah, painted in 2024 on the sports court of the Parque de la Fuensanta in Santiago de la Ribera, was voted Best Mural of May 2024 by Street Art Cities.

San Javier is part of an emerging regional mural circuit alongside Mazarrón, Cieza and the city of Murcia.
