Map of street art in Huelva (Spain)
An Andalusian provincial capital set between the estuaries of the Odiel and the Tinto, Huelva long left urban art at the margins before turning it into municipal policy. In September 2025 it became the first Andalusian capital to set up muros libres: public walls legally open to anyone who wants to paint, listed on an interactive map on the city website, with sites such as Parque Moret and Parque Alonso Sánchez.
The city also runs the Muestra Joven de Arte Urbano, whose competition sees about ten murals painted live, and several institutions have commissioned walls of their own: the headquarters of the Autismo Huelva Ánsares association, the Vázquez Díaz hospital, the Aqualon shopping centre and the former Mercado del Carmen all carry large-format paintings.
The local scene is dominated by figurative painters, foremost among them Konestilo, who works spray-can realism and publicly defends these legal walls as a turning point for the city. Graffiti in Huelva is also the subject of academic work that treats it as an emerging tourism resource.
