This Algarve commune, known for its golf courses and its proximity to the Ria Formosa lagoon, carried an Invader mosaic installed on 29 August 2016 on the Loulé boardwalks, the timber walkways built over the coastal wetlands.

The piece was worth 40 points in the FlashInvaders game. It has gone, which is hardly surprising: a timber walkway exposed to salt and wind, maintained by replacing planks rather than repairing them, is not a long-term support. It is the exact opposite of the stone walls that have preserved his Swedish campaigns for twenty-four years.

The campaign from the same trip in Faro, some twenty kilometres away, held up better: its three mosaics in the historic centre are all in place. The difference is not climate, which is identical, but support.
