Alfaiates is a small Portuguese village of around 300 inhabitants in the municipality of Sabugal, Guarda district, in the Beira Interior region, a few kilometres from the Spanish border. Medieval heritage, 14th-century castle, cross-border bullfighting traditions (the local arena is one of the oldest in Portugal).

Since 2023 the village has hosted the Alfaiates ArteRua mural festival, inviting Portuguese-speaking artists to transform the granite façades of the historic centre. The Touro Raiano (The Bull) mural by Guarda-based artist Nuno Miles, painted in July 2024, was voted Best Mural of the World 2024 by the Street Art Cities platform.

Alfaiates is part of the emerging rural Portuguese street art circuit along the Raia (border) between Beira and Spanish Extremadura.
