The Agafay desert, a stony plateau some thirty kilometres from Marrakech, has neither street nor facade: it is a landscape of rubble and dry hills, where the only structures are tourist camps.

Invader nonetheless installed a mosaic there on 12 February 2017, worth 30 points in the FlashInvaders game. It is still in place. This kind of work outside any town is not isolated in his practice: there are pieces in the forest of Fontainebleau, on the sandstone boulders of the GR 13, and on the tracks climbing the Cerro Rico at Potosí, in Bolivia.

The gesture then changes in nature. It is no longer about inscribing a sign into urban fabric but about placing one where nothing carries it, and checking that it will be found. Mosaic hunting, normally practised on foot along streets, becomes a hike across a stone desert here.
