Where to find street art in Delhi (India)

Delhi, India's capital and a metropolis of over 30 million inhabitants, has been home since 2015 to the country's first open-air public art district: the Lodhi Art District. Initiated by the St+art India Foundation in partnership with the British Council and Asian Paints, this district in Lodhi Colony brings together more than 100 murals by some fifty Indian and international artists. It has become an essential destination for urban art enthusiasts across Asia.

The Lodhi Art District stretches between Khanna Market and Meherchand Market, transforming the facades of residential and commercial buildings in Lodhi Colony into a living gallery. The works address themes as varied as Indian cultural identity, women's rights, biodiversity, and collective memory. Each mural is the result of collaboration between the invited artist and neighborhood residents.

Since 2015, the St+art Delhi festival has attracted artists from around the world, from Australia to Poland, Iran, and Singapore. The district continues to evolve with regular new additions, reflecting the vitality of a scene that blends local traditions with global influences.
