Where to find street art in Thessaloniki (Greece)

Thessaloniki, Greece's second city, is a port metropolis shaped by centuries of Byzantine, Ottoman, Jewish and Greek coexistence. Its historic centre, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its early Christian and Byzantine monuments, sits alongside a vibrant cultural scene and a large student population.

Since the 2000s, the city has established itself as one of Greece's main street art hubs, fuelled by a graffiti tradition rooted in its working-class neighbourhoods — Ladadika, Toumba, Aristotelous — and a new generation of Greek artists influenced by European scenes. International festivals such as Meeting of Styles regularly bring artists from around the world to its walls.

The Ladadika district, a former warehouse area converted into a nightlife and cultural quarter, is home to some of the city's most spectacular murals, including DALeast and Faith47's monumental work on Polytechniou Street, which has become an iconic landmark of Greek street art.
