Urban art in this Hesse city comes down to one address: the European Space Operations Centre, ESOC, from which the European Space Agency flies its satellites. On 9 April 2015, Invader cemented twelve mosaics there in a single day, among them a multi-panel planetary Pac-Man, on the buildings of Robert-Bosch-Straße, Caroline-Herschel-Straße and Rabenaustraße. None has been lost.
The operation was part of a tour of the agency's sites across Europe, extended that same year by sending a mosaic to the International Space Station. The 380 points the series carries in the FlashInvaders game reward a compact set, grouped around a single site and walkable in an hour.
The agency kept the exchange going in 2018 with Graffiti without Gravity, a project run with the collective The Hague Street Art: painters were given twenty-four hours to produce a canvas connected to space activities, with the results shown at the Darmstadtium, the city's congress centre, from 16 to 25 April 2019.
