Where to find street art in Bremen (Germany)

Bremen is a Hanseatic city-state in northern Germany, celebrated for its UNESCO-listed historic quarter, inland port and long seafaring tradition. The Überseestadt (Overseas City) district, a former port area undergoing urban renewal, has become the beating heart of the city's street art scene.

Bremen has been officially recognised as a 'Street Art City' by the international Street Art Cities platform, reflecting the richness and density of its mural heritage. The Hidden Treasure Urban Art Festival — the world's first black-light urban art festival — takes place every summer on the Überseeinsel and brings together over 70 national and international artists to create monumental fluorescent works.

The Lucky Walls agency, founded by Peter Stöcker aka THECUT, is behind several of the city's most significant murals, particularly in the Überseestadt neighbourhood along Cuxhavener Straße and by the Weser riverfront. Bremen has firmly established itself as one of the most active urban art cities in Germany.
