Map of street art in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine (France)
Urban art took root in Seine-Saint-Denis in the mid-1980s, when post-graffiti became a movement in its own right across the department. The town followed suit, its walls hosting graffiti, mosaics, painted shop signs and trompe-l'œil. In 2010, the Graff'Art association formed at the flea market and had artists paint the metal shutters of the stalls.
The flea market holds most of the works, along rue des Rosiers, rue Paul Bert and rue Jules Vallès, as well as inside the Marché Dauphine and Marché Malik. In the passage between rue Jules Vallès and impasse Simon, Batsh, Marko93, Risc and Sun.C of Crew 984 painted a collective mural in May 2018. The Vieux Saint-Ouen district, around rue Pablo Neruda, extends the trail.
Two galleries anchor the market: Street-Dreams, run by Banga, and Amarrage, led by Graff'Art, on rue des Rosiers. Visitors also find pieces by Kobra, Mr Chat at the entrance of the Marché Dauphine and the Cœur perché sculpture by Joana Vasconcelos. Guided walks are offered, including the Faites le mur tour and a stroll led by graffiti artist Miaoutoo. In 2025, the former ice rink on rue du Docteur Bauer hosted the temporary Urbain de Paname show and its 60 artists.
