Invader came to this Béarn town in November 2000, between the 21st and the 23rd: ten mosaics set in three days, on rue de Guiche, rue Galos, rue du Château beside the castle of Henri IV, and avenue Napoléon Bonaparte. Only one has been lost in twenty-five years, and the set is worth 120 points in the FlashInvaders game, the most modest tally among our French campaigns.
The main body of mural painting is not downtown but on the university campus. Since 2018 the University of Pau and the Adour Region has been building a graphic expression trail with La Centrifugeuse and the LIKEN collective: four monumental murals, repainted street furniture and new signage, all produced by groups of students under the collective's supervision.
The town also gave the French scene one of its muralists, MOG, born Marika Gysbers, who works with colour vibration by combining aerosol and variable LED lighting, and whose monumental walls can be found in other cities across the south-west.
