Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe spreads between 1,100 and 2,070 m above the Arly gorges, 10 km from Megève. Known as Sainte-Marie-des-Déserts until 1471, the village opened its first hotel in 1902 and its first ski lift, a sled tow called the télétraîneau, in 1937. A family resort in the Espace Diamant area since 2005, it has kept its traditional farmhouses and wooden chalets.

The murals are grouped in the centre along Rue de Savoie. In 2024 Ekiem painted the back wall of the ice rink, which becomes a pétanque ground in summer. In 2025 Ensemble Réel depicted a teenager beside an old wooden sledge on the former tourist office, Saro composed a mosaic of women skiers at the current office, and the five Val d'Arly schools painted an 8 m mural on its facade with Pikanoa. CRBZ reworked a transformer near the Belles Roches residence, and in 2026 Jordan Harang painted a telecom building on the road to Crest-Voland.

The village hosts one of the festival's two galleries and its closing night, with a torchlight descent, fireworks and a concert: Chill Bump in 2025, O Débit and Bonbon Banane in 2026. Run since 2024 with the Papajosette gallery, the festival drew nearly 4,000 visitors in 2025.
