Urban art took root in the cityscape through the 2010s, driven by the Expo de Ouf festival. Started in 2012 as a fanzine event in the Gambetta quarter, it moved onto the streets in 2014 to revitalise working-class neighbourhoods. Run by the Le Spot association, long active in urban cultures, it has produced close to a hundred works. The city, sometimes called the little Berlin, now counts over 80 frescoes.

The paintings cluster in the Gambetta and Richelieu districts, on the edge of the Écusson historic centre. The trail runs along rue de l'Enclos Rey, rue de la Poudrière, rue Nicot, rue des Bons Enfants and Square Clérisseau, where tags, graffiti, paste-ups and stencils cover the building facades.

Contributing artists include Pyrate (a portrait of singer Georges Brassens, 2015), Spain's María Corrales Orovio, whose 250 m² piece is the festival's largest, plus 1sekt (a crocodile), KogaOne, Tank & Popek, Elias Taño and Foa. Expo de Ouf returns annually and has reached its thirteenth edition. Two-hour guided walks with eighteen numbered stops leave from Saint-Baudile church (8 euros, 5 reduced). Le Spot, at 8 rue de l'Enclos Rey, combines a cafe, exhibitions and concerts.
