Map of street art in Le Pont-de-Claix (France)
The local urban-art scene is inseparable from the Street Art Fest Grenoble-Alpes, founded in 2015 by the Spacejunk association under Jérôme Catz. During its third and fourth editions, around 2017-2018, the festival opened to the surrounding towns of the metropolitan area, and Le Pont-de-Claix received its first monumental murals in 2018. Fresh works have been painted there nearly every year since.
The pieces cluster along a few thoroughfares. Cours Saint-André hosts Izzy Izvne's "Circle of Life" (2022, at number 98) and "Aquaboogie" by Nesta and Short79 (2019). Avenue Victor Hugo brings together "Chant de Roses" by LPVA and Stina (2021) and Veks Van Hillik's "Les pieds sur terre" (2019). Place Michel Couëtoux and rue Mozart complete the network of walls.
Featured artists include Goin, author of "Toxic Wedding" (2018, on the Bayer-Monsanto merger), the Argentine Animalitoland, Koz Dos, the duo Braga and Last One (2023), and Mister Couleur, who specialises in school facades. Manomatic, Monk and Otist have also painted in the town. All these creations belong to the Street Art Fest Grenoble-Alpes; the Grenoble tourist office runs a dedicated guided visit, complemented by an interactive map.
