The three murals recorded in this commune of the Grenoble area are all signed Veks Van Hillik, and all devoted to water wildlife: a blue kingfisher in its nest, a pelican on a red branch, a pike and a heron painted on the buildings of the teaching hospital.

The choice of the hospital as support is not incidental. Mural painting in a healthcare setting answers a particular commission, where the work addresses patients and staff rather than passers-by, and where soothing subjects are preferred.
