In 2017, the local association Arteli, commissioned by a public works company in agreement with Bordeaux Métropole and the town hall, coordinated an urban mural along a 600-metre construction fence. The barrier secured preliminary works for the Simone Veil bridge, which links the two banks of the Garonne. Between February and April 2017, five meetings brought together nearly 130 residents, whose collected words inspired the painted compositions.

The momentum continued in June 2019 with a first street art festival held in Floirac's Quartier Génial, on the right bank. Works spread across the Jean-Raymond Guyon stadium, on rue Léo Lagrange, and several nearby walls. At the Chartreuse de Bel Sito, on chemin de Beaufeu, graffiti also appeared, including a mural of stylised creatures painted in white against a dark background.

This first edition gathered many artists: David Selor, Kendo Deuxglik, A-MO, Kilat, Charles Foussard, Shake Well and Mika Husser, alongside Lulepi, Soeg, Nyx and Mokä. Run by Arteli, an association based in this Gironde town that promotes social cohesion through creation, the event anchors the area within the urban art scene of the Bordeaux metropolis.
