Map of street art in Crest-Voland (France)
Crest-Voland sits on a balcony above the Arly gorges at around 1,230 m, its land reaching up towards the Col des Saisies. It became a parish separate from Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle in 1585 and a civil community in 1664, and today has about 350 residents spread between the village and many hamlets. The ski resort it shares with Cohennoz is linked to the Espace Diamant area.
Murals are scattered through the village and across the ski area. In 2024 CRBZ turned a transformer at Le Crêt into a blue calligraphic piece and Saro installed his large portrait mosaic at a car park entrance; CRBZ also painted a technical building at the foot of the Logère chairlift in black and gold. In 2025 Niki Zsurikova pictured Michelangelo's David as a skier, and EvazéSir an old man with a pitchfork on the ski school wall on Place du Bouloz. In 2026 Zesoner painted at the top of the Cernix chairlift and ColorzYourMind covered the Paravy transformer.
The Val d'Arly Street Art Festival opens in this resort, which also hosts the Papajosette contemporary art gallery for the whole event. Since March 2024 the festival has brought thirty to forty artists to the valley each winter.
