Map of street art in Boulogne-sur-Mer (France)

The town launched an urban-art programme in 2016, the « Parcours d'art urbain - Street Art », on the initiative of mayor Frédéric Cuvillier. Held every summer, it has turned walls and gable ends into an open-air museum. After ten editions it counts around one hundred murals across every district; the 11th edition, in 2026, adds thirteen painted walls between 15 July and 15 August.

The pieces are organised into five signposted routes. On Rue de l'Amiral Bruix, British artist David Walker painted one of the very first portraits in 2016. On Rue des Pipots, works by Lonac and Evoca1 date from 2018. The columns of the Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale have also been painted, beyond the historic centre.

The line-up has brought together Kobra (Brazil), Case Maclaim (Germany), Evoca1 (Dominican Republic), Alaniz (Argentina), Borondo and Fintan Magee, alongside local artists such as FLAG, Florian Lajouanique, Marie Lou Peeren and Gaawouel. The circuit can be followed on foot or by bike, freely or on guided tours in summer; downloadable routes are available and works are mapped through the Street Art Cities and Totemus apps.
