Invader's Riviera campaign of May 2007 touched several coastal towns within a few days, and this one received four mosaics, installed on the 16th and 17th for 60 points in the FlashInvaders game. Eighteen years later, all four are still in place.
The locations follow the main streets of the centre: avenue de l'Amiral-Courbet, avenue du Maréchal-Joffre, boulevard du Maréchal-Juin, plus one piece along the coastal road. It is a seaside-town geography, where available walls sit on traffic routes rather than in the old centre, protected and heavily walked.
That complete survival contrasts with the fate of his American campaigns from the same period, where he lost nearly every piece. Mediterranean building fabric accounts for much of it: rendered walls, refaced by the decade rather than by the season, on which a cemented tile holds without difficulty.
