On the facade of a house in Kairouan's medina, eL Seed painted the word 'تاريخ' (History) in black and red Arabic calligraphy against a background of coloured vertical stripes in January 2012. The 40-metre-long mural was created after he asked the residents of Kairouan which word best described their city — nearly everyone answered 'History'. It was the first large-scale calligraffiti mural in Tunisia.
The artwork Calligraphie de l'histoire is of type graffiti. You can admire it in the city of Kairouan in Tunisia, more precisely here: Médina de Kairouan, Kairouan.
