Painted in 2014 as part of the Djerbahood festival, this monumental chameleon by ROA coils within a stone arch ruin characteristic of Erriadh's architecture. The Belgian artist depicted the animal in his signature black-and-white style with striking anatomical precision: detailed scales, spiralling tail, and eye ringed with a yellow iris. The contrast between the black paint on the aged ochre wall and the palm trees in the background creates a remarkable composition, typical of ROA's approach of always integrating his work into existing architecture.
The artwork Caméléon à l'arche is of type graffiti. You can admire it in the city of Djerba in Tunisia, more precisely here: Erriadh (Hara Sghira), Djerba.
This graffiti is also tagged as: reptile, black-and-white, cameleon, arch, ruins.
