Monumental mask signed by Argentine artist Gurí, painted on the metal garage door of a shop unit on Calle Martín de Vargas in Madrid. The face fills the whole black surface: heavy outlines, flat blocks of green, yellow, orange, blue and red, strict symmetry and scrollwork forming a foliage headdress above the eyes. The treatment is purely graphic, with no gradients or shading, closer to poster art than to lettered graffiti. The piece extends the artist's research into the imagery of ancestral Latin American cultures, and his yellow monogram signature sits in the top right corner.
