A deer crosses the facade of a small building in Konohana, antlers gleaming and gaze calm, its head tilted as if stepping through a doorway towards the passer-by. The building's windows run through its body without breaking it. Painted in 2025 for Mural Town Konohana, the work draws on the status of the shika as a messenger from the spirit world in Japanese tradition.
