There she painted La chimera e il leone and oversaw two monumental writing projects: the full reproduction of the Italian Constitution in the park dedicated to Angelo Vassallo, and Implosione 2020, a mural made by the village's teenagers for which she acted as artistic mediator.

Along the winding road up to the village, Maria Angelica Mazzulli traced the street plans of Aielli's two settlements in white. The lines emerge from a nebulous background and merge into a single organ, like veins or the cracks left by the earthquake.
