Painted in January 2019 on a gable of the rue Armand Bédarride, off the cours Julien, Gamo's Le Hockeyeur raises a caricatural figure with a much elongated face, a pointed nose and a sideways grin: dressed in a red jersey, he holds a hockey stick upright, its blade taped black, while an orange speech bubble signed "GAMO!" escapes from his mouth. The lower part of the mural, which showed the player sitting on his skates, has since been painted over: a lettering piece in white volumes outlined in blue and green carries the dates 1998.2017, a tribute to the young Marseille writer Cofre, and the white base displays the slogan Free Palestine above a painted Palestinian flag and a fine line drawing of a favela cityscape.
