The two upper floors of this corner house are painted black, then covered with a dense network of white lines in which one reads the cogs, pulleys, pipes and gear wheels favoured by Polish artist M-City, who trained in printmaking in Gdansk. The motif works around the windows and runs unbroken from one facade to the next, while the ground floor, left salmon pink, cuts sharply against this graphic skin. Stencilled for the CityLeaks festival in 2013, the composition continues onto the orange gable, where a globe is caught in the machine.
