A section of the station underpass: the vault is painted deep blue streaked with large white cumulus, and the wall opens onto a desert of orange mesas whose floor becomes a black-and-white checkerboard in perspective. A grey elephant stands there on stretched legs, trunk raised, beside a dead trunk. A red tag has since been struck across the checkerboard.
