Painted in September 2011 for the first edition of the CityLeaks festival, this facade of the EVA centre is the first wall Switzerland's Smash137 and Dutch artist Zedz painted together. On the left, Zedz interlocks salmon and black rectangles into an orthogonal grid that swallows windows and doors; on the right, Smash137 unrolls broad lavender-blue, cream and plum volutes outlined in black, his all-curves abstract lettering. The two worked without any prior concept, over three days, starting from four circles Zedz had placed on a photo of the wall.
