Klaus Klinger, born in 1954 in Essen, is a muralist based in Düsseldorf. He studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1973 to 1980, under Gerhard Richter among others, and in 1977 co-founded the Wandmalgruppe Düsseldorf, out of which the non-profit Farbfieber grew in 1987. A boat overloaded with passengers cuts through a rough sea, oars driven into the foam, with a pink lighthouse to the right of the composition: violinists, dancers and faces from every background crowd aboard. This 700 m² mural, titled "Zeitreisende", was painted in 1995 on the Aachener Straße bunker by Klaus Klinger with Isaac Linares and Sabahattin Sen.
