The Affenhaus, the monkey house, was painted in 2008 by the MaJo Brothers at number 23 of the Kiefernstraße, as part of the Farbfieber association's 5x5 action. Across a blue-grey facade covered in stylised trunks and branches, a dozen yellow monkeys climb, swing and leap from window to window, joined by an orange kite and a cat. The yellow monkey is the Hennig brothers' signature and turns up elsewhere in Düsseldorf.
