A small blue mosaic is set into the corner of a building on rue du Temple, just above a shop window. The shape, a rounded head with stepped pixel edges, has nothing for a face but two flesh-coloured eyes. Shot from a high window, it appears level with a cast-iron balcony spilling over with red and white geraniums, above the street and its parked bicycles.
