The second wall of the rue du Miroir diptych, painted in May 2019 for the Bruegel Trail, after The Peasant and the Nest Robber. Under two willow trunks, a figure in yellow up among the branches topples as he drops what he has just taken, while a troop of small hatted beings, riding snails and fabulous animals, busies itself below. The faded wash of sea green, ochre and pink gives the scene the look of an old watercolour.
