Morris, real name Maurice De Bevere (Kortrijk, 1923 - Brussels, 2001), created Lucky Luke, who first appeared in October 1946 in Spirou magazine with the story "Arizona 1880". A practitioner of the ligne claire and part of the Marcinelle school, he devoted almost his entire career to this lone cowboy, with René Goscinny writing from 1955 onwards. Painted on the corner of Rue de la Buanderie and Rue 't Kindt, this mural shows the four Dalton brothers below, fleeing the bank with revolvers drawn and thousand-dollar bags in hand, beneath a Wanted poster; above, Lucky Luke repaints the BANK sign from a hanging scaffold, with Rantanplan and two vultures. Jolly Jumper and the painted desert with the Atomium in the background continue the scene around the corner of the wall, after Morris, for the comic strip route unveiled in June 1993.
