A mural by Anglo-Portuguese artist Jacqueline de Montaigne at Passeio do Báltico, in Parque das Nações. Two mirrored figures face each other: on the right a woman in profile, eyelids lowered and hair tied in a bun, worked in soft greys; on the left her counterpart, made entirely of local fauna and flora, birds and moths in flight that draw a face and a bust. A brown disc sits between them as a hinge. The species are identifiable: magnolia for the flowers etched in white line across the whole ground, European greenfinch for the birds, cream-spot tiger moth for the butterflies. The same motifs are tattooed on the woman's shoulder and neck, as an ode to nature.
