An overall view of the covered passage: the mask in the foreground is followed by four more, fixed in a row along the same wall, each assembled from a different batch of waste. All are the work of Bordalo II, who builds his pieces from collected discards rather than paint. The perspective of the corridor lines the faces up like a portrait gallery and turns a utilitarian passage into an exhibition room.
