He started painting in 2012, aged 17, on the walls of Camp 77 in Bab al-Azizia, Gaddafi's former headquarters in Tripoli. Favouring vibrant, soothing colours in harmony with their surroundings, he has created participatory murals on Tripoli's waterfront and worked with UNHCR in 2021 to help refugees express them…

In shades of terracotta pink, this mural unfolds a Saharan village of cubic houses inspired by Libyan architecture, dotted with slender silhouettes. On the right, a woman in a gold-embroidered tunic carries a jar above her head. A collaboration between Libyan muralist Shandoul and Nantes-based artist Tanala, painted in October 2025 as part of the Artivista Project.
