This monumental mural pays tribute to Marko Marulić's epic poem Judith, the first masterpiece of Croatian national literature, marking the 500th anniversary of the poet's death in 2024. Executed by Luka Duplančić and Ivan Svaguša after an original work by painter Matko Trebotić, the mixed-technique composition (ink wash and flat colour) depicts the besieged city of Bethulia. The work covers the western façade of a building at the corner of Marmontova Street and Ulica Kralja Tomislava.
The artwork Judita – Opsada Betulije is of type graffiti. You can admire it in the city of Split in Croatia, more precisely here: Marmontova ulica, 21000 Split.
