A monumental mural 77 metres tall and 16 metres wide painted in March 2015 by Eduardo Kobra and Studio Kobra on the blind facade of a building in central Recife. The hyperrealist portrait of Luiz Gonzaga (1912-1989), singer and accordionist, pioneer of baião and icon of north-eastern Brazilian culture, is rendered in Kobra's signature kaleidoscopic style: a grid of coloured geometric diamonds covering the face. At the time of its completion it was the tallest wall mural in Latin America.
The artwork Gonzagão is of type graffiti. You can admire it in the city of Recife in Brazil, more precisely here: Avenida Conde da Boa Vista, Boa Vista, Recife.
