Biography
Pavel Dušek is a Czech artist born in 1992. His work sits on the border between painting, object and installation, built on an intense physical engagement with material - cement, concrete, metal and resin that he layers, breaks apart and reassembles. From these he builds small architectural scenes, miniature rooms and interiors where construction meets decay and intuitive gesture meets rational composition. Shown in Prague (Trafo Gallery) and the public realm as well as at the Landscape Festival in Hradec Králové, his practice straddles contemporary art and urban intervention.
