Nitzan Mintz

Nitzan Mintz is an Israeli visual poet, born and raised in Tel Aviv. She began writing her poems on the city's walls at 17, turning writing into street art. Trained in creative writing and fine art at the Minshar School in Tel Aviv, she builds site-specific typographic installations - letter stencils, salvaged materials and paint - in which the text and its physical support engage with their location. Her poems weave the intimate - trauma, family, loss - with the political. She regularly collaborates with urban artist Dede Bandaid, her partner, with whom she co-initiated the worldwide "Kidnapped" street-art campaign in 2023.
