Vincent Chignier

Vincent Chignier is a French artist born in 1988 in Clermont-Ferrand and based in Šternberk, Czech Republic. Trained in mural painting and then in fine arts at the Sorbonne (2019), he splits his practice between painting, illustration and murals. Drawing on urban art and classical references - from Caravaggio and Matisse to Basquiat - he has developed a teeming figurative language marked by vivid colour and strong symbolism. His colourful murals brighten public space in the Czech Republic and beyond, including festivals such as Urban Pictus.
