Spaik

Spaik, born Israel Guerra Romero, was a Mexican muralist from Tlaxcala. A graffiti writer since 1999, he turned to large-scale murals to develop a vivid style rooted in Latin American folklore, populated with animals, campesino figures and symbols of Mexico's Indigenous traditions. His bold colours and ornamental patterns earned him international recognition across the United States, Europe and Africa. Based in Tulum, he painted at numerous festivals around the world until his death in April 2025, at the age of 38.
