Biography
Peeta is the artistic name of Manuel Di Rita, an Italian painter and sculptor born in 1980 in Venice. A graffiti writer since the 1990s and a member of the EAD crew, he pushed lettering into an entirely three-dimensional language.
His signature: anamorphic murals that appear to warp, hollow out or extrude the surface of buildings, using light and perspective to create a sculptural trompe-l'œil illusion. He extends this research into actual sculptures and oil paintings.
His monumental walls appear all over the world; he now lives and works in the Netherlands.
