Biography
Ghizlane Agzenaï is a Moroccan visual and street artist born in 1988 in Tangier, self-taught, based in Casablanca. She became known for her monumental "totems" — geometric, colorful sculptures and paintings placed in public space as luminous, benevolent landmarks.
Her practice combines spray paint, laser-cutting, and woodwork. She claims the influence of minimalist painters Frank Stella and Victor Vasarely, as well as the contemporary op-art of Felipe Pantone and the environments of Christo. Her works explore geometry, saturated color, and their ability to transform the urban fabric into a visual ecosystem.
Represented by La Galerie 38 in Casablanca and exhibited in Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, and Rabat, the artist is held in the permanent collections of the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat and MACAAL in Marrakech. She has also collaborated with the Guerlain house and represented Morocco in several international exhibitions.
