Biography
Suhaib Attar is a Jordanian street artist born in 1992, from a Palestinian refugee family settled in east Amman. Described as an aggressive teenager, he discovered street art as an outlet to channel his emotions, before turning it into a profession in 2012.
His frescoes are recognizable by their geometric treatment of animals: deer heads, birds, or flamingos composed of colored facets on urban walls. This approach, which marries contemporary graphic design with animal figuration, has made him one of the reference figures of Jordanian muralism of the 2010s.
The artist regularly collaborates with the NGO AptART to lead workshops with Syrian refugee children in Jordan. His work has been featured by Al Jazeera and The National, and contributes to the rise of Amman's street art scene, organized notably around the Baladk collective.
