Biography
Fabián Bravo, better known as Kato (signed @arkato), is a Spanish muralist born in the 1980s in Seville, Andalusia. He began graffiti in 1999 in the streets of Seville and gradually moved towards full-time figurative mural painting in the 2010s.
His style combines a precise naturalism applied to the animal kingdom — birds, insects, local mammals — with geometric backgrounds inspired by art deco, azulejo tiles and Islamic patterns. The palette revolves around teal greens, off-whites and red-brown, in a very poised approach that contrasts with the primary colours of Hispanic graffiti.
He paints in Seville, Madrid, Casablanca and at international festivals (Sbagha Bagha, CasaMouja, Asalto). His Vuelo y respeto mural in Casablanca (CasaMouja 2024) ranked 15th best mural in the world on Street Art Cities.
